Help the club by buying shares

Many supporters have been asking what they can do to help the club in this difficult period. On behalf of the fans and the club I would like to make a genuine appeal for your assistance. I would like fans and friends of the club to commit themselves to one of two things by contacting me at [email protected]. I will then send details back to them.

Firstly I am looking for 100 fans to commit themselves to buy £100 of shares in the club either immediately or in two blocks of £50 over the next month or alternatively, if you do not wish to buy shares, to put that money into the club lottery which would cover the payments for the next 2 years at just £1 a week. Secondly, if you feel you cannot afford to put up £100 I would ask you to at least contribute £5 a month over the next 12 months to join the lottery.

The price of a couple of pints each month is surely not a lot to ask to help this club we all support and love.

Please help. Contact me at [email protected] with a contact e-mail or phone number stating how you wish to help and I will get back to you with further details.
I am sure the support we need is out there and I will keep fans up-dated as money is committed to the club. We need to pull together and show we want the club. Please help now.

With thanks,

Derek Greenwood

Update 7th Feb 2005
Thank you to all the fans who have pledged money to the Share Appeal. After just one week, we have almost £2000 committed to the appeal. This is a tremendous effort. A big thank you to everybody concerned. It has also been a pleasure to see the support we have received from fans of other clubs, which is really heartening. I would ask that if you have not yet contacted me, to please do so at [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can help to secure the long term future of the club. If you would prefer, please see me on any match day.
